The Cava Brut Reserva from Vilarnau is an expressive, refreshing sparkling wine made from the Macabeo (55%), Parellada (40%) and Xarel-lo (5%) grape varieties, which grow in the Spanish wine-growing region of Catalonia.
In the glass, this cava shimmers in a radiant bright gold with bright straw-yellow highlights. The perlage rises continuously in very fine pearl strings. The expressive bouquet is dominated by fruity aromas of fresh citrus fruits, juicy peaches and crunchy apples. On the palate, this Spanish sparkling wine delights with a beautiful structure and the harmonious balance between ripe fruit fullness and refreshing, vital acidity.
Vinification of Vilarnau Brut Reserva Cava
The harvest of the grapes for this sparkling wine begins in September. Once the grapes have arrived in the Vilarnau cellar, they are fermented separately in stainless steel tanks. Only for the second fermentation in the bottle are the three grape varieties married. This wine matures on the bottle for at least 18 months. Finally, this cava is degorgiert and can leave the winery Vilarnau.
