Wine has been made at Castillo Perelada in Catalonia since the Middle Ages. in 1923, Miguek Mateu acquired the castle to create a museum and revive viticulture. today, the estate is run by the third generation, Javier Suqué Mateu, who expanded the estate's vineyards and built up the team.
A desire for experimentation
today the estate has 5 different vineyards, each with its own characteristics. The desire to constantly improve is also reflected in the constant research and development of Castello Perelada's wines. Thus, experimentation is carried out with grape varieties, the harvest time is changed and experimental wines are vinified in the cellar in very small quantities in order to obtain the optimal result. The best of these wines are available in a special limited edition.
