Wines from important homeland - Cantina Valdadige

Since 1975, the red, rosé and white wines produced in this region have carried the "Denominazione di origine controllata" (DOC) controlled designation of origin. The 2014 update of this designation of origin speaks to the excellent quality and popularity of these wines. Nowhere else in Italy is there a comparable area with such a high density of quality. It is therefore not surprising that Cantina Valdadige is one of the leading producers of quality wines in Italy. 

At Cantina Valdadige there is something for everyone

For the enjoyment of wine there are different requirements and so here in the region several wine producers have joined forces to produce wines of different quality with a common cooperative winery, Cantina Valdadige. The wines that are marketed under the name of Valdadige Veronese and enjoy great popularity come from the producer of the same name. 

And the climate? 

The Valdadige production area extends over the Italian regions of Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto. The landscape, with its alpine areas and Mediterranean zones, is extremely diverse and thus offers the ideal conditions for the production of first-class wines. Thanks to the nearby Lake Garda, which has a moderating influence on the climate, the area is dry and warm. The soils are not only sufficiently irrigated and extremely permeable, they are also rich in rock salt and the slopes receive abundant sunlight. Thus, they represent an optimal place for the cultivation of vines with unique flavors.

From the producer Cantina Valdadige Veronese, the white wine varieties Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay are particularly well-known and popular. The Pinot Grigio knows how to convince with its golden-yellow hue  its pleasant honey note and its lively acidity. Among the red grape varieties, Merlot stands out. Wine lovers can recognize a strong ruby hue and enjoy an expressive taste.
