More information about Buntsandstein Riesling 2020 - Frank John
In the glass, Frank John's organically produced Buntsandstein Riesling presents a brilliantly shimmering light yellow color. When swirling the glass, this white wine is characterized by an immense brilliance that makes it dance buoyantly in the glass. To the nose, this Frank John white wine presents all manner of apricots. As if that wasn't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds more aromas like chamomile and smoky.
The Frank John Buntsandstein Riesling delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 2.9 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the top wine range, this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine is wonderfully dense. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Buntsandstein Riesling reveals itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this well storable white wine from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of apricot appear.
Vinification of the Frank John Buntsandstein Riesling
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Riesling. For this wonderfully elegant single-varietal wine from Frank John, only first-class grapes were used. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
