The vibrant red colour of the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG by Tenuta di Castelgiocondo by Frescobaldi is reminiscent of a luminous ruby with deep red nuances. A mixture of violets and wild berries, especially blackberries, characterize the bouquet. This is accompanied by spicy aromas of black pepper and cardamom, followed by balsamic notes of juniper and roasted aromas of coffee and hazelnuts. A gentle prelude leads to a soft, full palate with a strong, elegant tanning frame and a lush body. In the long-lasting and warm finish of the CastelGiocondo Brunello di Montalcino, spice notes and intense fruit notes are again noticeable.
This elegant, balanced lace sangiovese of great structure and finesse has been produced since the 18th century at the CastelGiocondo fortress above the Frescobaldi vineyard. The historical significance is also reflected in the label of the wine. This decorates the figure of the cavalier after a fresco by the famous Sienese painter Simone Martini.
Food recommendation for the CastelGiocondo Brunello di Montalcino DOCG by Frescobaldi
Serve this powerful Tuscan noble wine with meat dishes, roasts, stews and ripe cheeses. A wonderful red wine, which is also a pleasure on its own.
