More information about Brio Margaux AOP - Château Cantenac Brown

The barrel-aged Brio Margaux from the Bordeaux wine-growing region shows a bright purple red in the glass. At the edge, this French red also shows a transition to the brick-colored... Swiveling the glass, one can perceive a first-class balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. To the nose, this Château Cantenac Brown red wine shows all sorts of black currants and blackberries. As if that weren't already impressive, blueberry joins in due to the aging in small wooden barrels.

The Château Cantenac Brown Brio Margaux presents itself to the wine enthusiast pleasantly dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine icon wine segment. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. The finale of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux, more precisely from Margaux, finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the gravel-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Brio Margaux from Château Cantenac Brown

The basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced cuvée Brio Margaux of Château Cantenac Brown are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of gravel. Obviously, the Brio Margaux is also determined by climate and viticultural style Margaux. This Frenchman can be called an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, and it is extraordinarily impressive. The berries for this red wine from France, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the elegant Brio Margaux is aged for another 12 months in French oak barrels.

Food recommendation for Château Cantenac Brown Brio Margaux

This red wine from France is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to pumpkin casserole, spinach gratin with almonds or vegetable stew with pesto.
