More information about Bricco Barbera d’Asti DOCG - Tenuta Tenaglia
The Tenuta Tenaglia Bricco Barbera d'Asti is a first-class vegan red wine. It reveals a wonderfully bright, ruby red color. The bouquet of this red wine from Piedmont captivates with aromas of redcurrant. If we trace the aromas further, blueberry is added.
On the palate, the Bricco Barbera d'Asti from Tenuta Tenaglia starts off pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. Some wines are dry on the label, others really are. This red wine belongs to the latter, as it was bottled with just 2.4 g of residual sugar. On the palate, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. Thanks to its lively fruit acidity, Bricco Barbera d'Asti is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region, Monferrato DOC to be precise, is captivating with good persistence. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets from the clay and marl-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Tenuta Tenaglia Bricco Barbera d'Asti
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Barbera. Only flawless grapes were used for this exceptionally balanced single-varietal wine from Tenuta Tenaglia. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Piedmont. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into clay and marl soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Bricco Barbera d'Asti can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
