The distillery Ziegler, complete name Edelobstbrennerei Gebr. J. & M. Ziegler GmbH, was already founded in 1865 as a brewery with distilling rights in Freudenberg am Main. The company is a manufactory where many steps are still done by hand in the spirit of tradition.
Ziegler Brand - The essence of fruit
A milestone in the company's history is Wildkirsch No. 1, which Ziegler first produced in the 1980s. With this brandy, the company became known in the star gastronomy. Today, Ziegler is one of the best fruit distilleries in Germany and stands for distillation art at the highest level.
Managing director Alain Langlois and master distiller Jürgen Marré are committed to the company's tradition and can guarantee the exquisite quality of Ziegler's fruit brandies. For this, excellent fruit quality, origin, terroir and climate are decisive prerequisites. Only in this way can spirits of exceptional quality be created.
The raw materials for Ziegler's brandies
For this reason, the Ziegler distillery has been working for years with the same farmers from the Lower Main region, where an important relationship of trust and business has been established. The winery uses the double distillation process, which is slow and complex, but provides high quality. Regardless of the technology used, it is of course necessary to have a team that masters the art of distillation at a high level.

Specialties of the house such as the barrel-aged brandies and 3-liter bottles make the distillery stand out from the crowd of "simple" producers. In addition to brandies, other products are also produced today:
