more information

The Braide Alte Bianco delle Venezie IGT from Livon shines in the glass in an intense bright straw yellow with golden reflections. On the nose this Gran Cru from Livon develops a dense, exuberant bouquet with spicy fragrances, on the palate it presents itself warm and appealing, full-bodied, of great structure, elegance and complexity, which develops in the glass with changing temperature in the truest sense of the word. Long, persistent, complex finish.

Vinification of Braide Alte Bianco Delle Venezie IGT by Livon

This award-winning white wine is produced as Gran Cru. The grapes for this cuvée grow in the Braide vineyard near Ruttars in the municipality of Dolegna del Collio in eastern Friuli, on clayey marl soils of oceanic origin. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Picolit and Moscato Giallo are vinified for this Gran Cru. The grape harvest is carried out exclusively by hand, the grapes are placed in small crates in the wine cellar and cold macerated in the horizontal press for eight hours, the must is then clarified by natural decantation. The subsequent fermentation takes place entirely in French Allier barriques at a controlled temperature of 14° - 16°C, after which the wine is aged in the same barrels for eight months at a constant temperature. Once the cuvée has been formed from the various wines, it is bottled and matured, harmonising over a long period in the bottle before being sold.
The Gran Cru Braide Alte can be stored for 10 to 15 years.

Food pairing for the Braide Alte Bianco Delle Venezie IGT from Livon

This complex and elegant Gran Cru white wine from the Livon winery in Friuli is an ideal accompaniment when served at 12° to 13° C, with pasta and rice with fish, to main courses with tasty and full-bodied fish, such as swordfish, stockfish with tomato sauce, poultry and soft, non-ripened cheese. Try the Braide Alte at 16° to 17° C as an excellent pairing with lamb, kid roast and grilled meat.
