Bouchard Père & Fils - Producer and Négociant since 1731

Since its foundation in the 18th century, Bouchard Père & Fils has become the largest wine producer and négociant in all of Burgundy. In the Côte d'Or alone, more than 130 hectares of prime sites are under vine on Bouchard Père & Fils' land. Since 1731, the estate was traditionally inherited from father to son until this line was interrupted by Joseph Henriot in 1995. In that year, the famous champagne house Henriot acquired Bouchard Père & Fils and, under new management, implemented some measures to maximize quality. The sale of the family business did Bouchard Père & Fils good, as it was struggling with a dwindling reputation in the early 1990s. Since then, Henriot has been able to help the estate regain its former greatness.

Le Montrachet - the best white from Burgundy

Bouchard Père & Fils is co-owner, among other big names in Burgundy, of the Le Montrachet site, which is undoubtedly one of the best of its kind in the world. The vines for these exquisite wines are grown on this outstanding terroir. Thanks to massive pruning, minimal fertilization, late harvesting and the most accurate sorting, products are produced that are beyond reproach.
