Borgo Magredo

in 1973, the current owners of Borgo Magredo acquired the already existing 200 hectare estate in Grave del Friuli in the municipality of Spilimbergio in Friuli.

The potential of the vineyards, with its stony, gravel-strewn soils, was quickly recognized. Together with a local vine nursery, the vineyards were gradually replanted over the next 20 years, so that today nearly 87 hectares of vineyards are cultivated. Borgo Magredo cultivates white grape varieties typical of the region

• Sauvignon
• Friuliano
• Pinot Grigio
• Chardonnay

and the red varieties

• Merlot
• Cabernet Sauvignon

while also experimenting with Pinot Nero and Moscato Rosa.
