More information about Blaufränkisch Glawarinza Leithaberg DAC - Birgit Braunstein
Birgit Braunstein's elegant Blaufränkisch Glawarinza Leithaberg DAC enters the glass with a bright purple color. If you hold the glass at a slight angle, a transition of the color towards garnet red can be seen at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. If you give it some air in the wine glass by swirling it, you can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. This single varietal Austrian wine shows wonderfully expressive notes of plum in the glass. This is joined by hints of toasted wood, mineral and cocoa.
This red from Birgit Braunstein is just right for those who like it dry. However, it is never sparse or brittle, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Blaufränkisch Glawarinza Leithaberg DAC is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Burgenland finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of plum appear.
