The powerful Blanc Reserve Bordeaux from the pen of Calvet comes into the glass with dense light yellow. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from France shows wonderfully expressive aromas of pear, rounded off by other fruity nuances.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the upper price range, this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this punchy white wine is wonderfully light and crisp. In the finish, this youthful wine from the Bordeaux wine-growing region finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of pear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and sand are added.

Vinification of the Blanc Reserve Bordeaux by Calvet

The basis for the first-class and wonderfully powerful Cuvée Blanc Reserve Bordeaux from Calvet are Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sand and clay. When they are perfectly ripe, the grapes for Blanc Reserve Bordeaux are harvested particularly quickly and at the coolest possible time of day to preserve their aromas. After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Blanc Reserve Bordeaux from Calvet

This white wine from France is best enjoyed very well chilled at 5 - 7°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to veal and onion casserole, omelet with salmon and fennel or vegetable salad with beetroot.
