Bishop Shiraz 2018 - Glaetzer Wines
Prices incl. VAT plus shipping costs
With the Glaetzer Wines Bishop Shiraz, a first-class red wine comes into the wine glass. In it, it presents a wonderfully dense, purple-red colour. When the glass is swivelled, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which can be seen in strong church windows at the edge of the glass. This single-variety Australian wine reveals in the glass wonderfully expressive notes of blackcurrants, blueberries, mulberries and blackberries. These are joined by hints of cigar box, toasted barrique and oak.
This red from Glaetzer Wines is ideal for all wine lovers who like it dry. However, it is never sparse or brittle, as you would naturally expect from a wine. This light red wine is powerful and complex on the palate. The Bishop Shiraz shows a dreamlike freshness and vividness on the palate due to its present fruit acidity. In the finish this red wine from the wine growing region South Australia finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of blackberry and black currant.
Vinification of the Glaetzer Wine Bishop Shiraz
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Syrah. Only the best grape material was used for this wonderfully powerful, pure varietal wine from Glaetzer Wines. After the manual harvest, the grapes are taken to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully ground. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the fermentation is completed, the Bishop Shiraz is aged for 16 months in French and American oak barrels.
Food recommendation for Glaetzer Wines Bishop Shiraz
This Australian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with boeuf bourguignon, rum pot or duck breast with mangetout.
