More information about Barolo del Comune di La Morra DOCG - Brandini

In the glass, the organically produced Barolo del Comune di La Morra from Brandini reveals a dense ruby red color. Held at a slight angle, the red wine glass reveals a charming garnet-red hue at the edges. When the wine glass is swirled, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which can be seen in the stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. The first nose of the Barolo del Comune di La Morra is flattering with nuances of sour cherries, plums and raspberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing such as liquorice.

On the palate, the Barolo del Comune di La Morra from Brandini opens wonderfully dry, full-bodied and aromatic. Some wines are dry on the label, others really are. This red wine belongs to the latter, as it was vinified with only 0.8 g of residual sugar. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, the Barolo del Comune di La Morra flatters the palate with a velvety sensation without lacking freshness. On the finish, this mature wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region finally delights with its considerable length. Once again, there are hints of raspberry and plum.

Vinification of the Brandini Barolo del Comune di La Morra

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Nebbiolo. Only first-class grapes were brought in for this wonderfully powerful single-varietal wine from Brandini. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the powerful Barolo del Comune di La Morra is aged for a few months in oak barrels.

Recommended pairing for the Barolo del Comune di La Morra from Brandini

This Italian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is the perfect accompaniment to a potato pan with salmon, spaghetti with caper and tomato sauce or leek soup
