The Pinotage by Barista from the South African wine-growing region Western Cape is an exceptional, grape-varietal and fashionable red wine that interprets the characteristic South African grape Pinotage in the coffee style.
In the glass, this wine has a rich ruby red with purple highlights. The nose enjoys an expressive bouquet that reveals intensely fruity aromas of ripe mulberries, juicy plums and maraschino cherries - perfectly accompanied by sweet notes of vanilla, espresso and mocha chocolate. Even on the palate, the wonderful aroma continues and merges with the juicy tannins and the soft texture. The substance-rich body also knows how to present itself and accompanies itself in the pleasantly spicy long finale.
Vinification of Barista Pinotage
Responsible for this red wine is the cellar master Bertus Fourie, who uses Pinotage grapes from Robertson. This wine is vinified in the Val de Vie winery. The harvested material is classically fermented in stainless steel tanks and, after the fermentation process is completed, aged in French oak barrels.
Food recommendation for the Pinotage of Barista
Enjoy this dry red wine from South Africa with fried duck breast, crispy roasted pork belly or with the Italian classic pizza. But this wine is also a treat for desserts with chocolate and roasted coffee beans.
