Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils made of sandstone. Clearly, the Aufm Schlossberg Riesling Große Lage is also determined by more than just the Bretzenheim soil. This German wine can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, and it is extraordinarily impressive. The grapes for this white wine from Germany, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
