More information about Auf der Grenze Grauburgunder trocken - Bernhart

The elegant Auf der Grenze Pinot Gris from the house of Bernhart shines in the glass with bright copper gold. The nose of this white wine from the Palatinate region captivates with hints of ripe apple and brioche. If we trace the aromatics further, hazelnut comes in.

The Bernhart Auf der Grenze Pinot Gris impresses with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. In the finish, this youthful wine from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate finally thrills with good length. Again, hints of brioche and ripe apple appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by limestone and marl join in.

Vinification of the Auf der Grenze Pinot Gris from Bernhart

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Pinot Gris. Only impeccable vintage material was used for this exceptionally balanced varietal wine from Bernhart. In the Palatinate, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and marl. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Bernhart Auf der Grenze Pinot Gris

This white wine from Germany is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as a companion to potato pan with salmon, vegetable salad with beetroot or leek tortilla.
