The Atlántida Tintilla of Compañía de Vinos del Atlántico comes from the Sherry region of Cadiz. This Spanish red wine is vinified exclusively from the Tintilla de Rota grape variety.
In the glass, this wine shines in a bright ruby red with cherry-red highlights. The bouquet opens up a firework of expressive aromas. Notes of dark berries unfold, floral hints in combination with nuances of smoke and spice. On the palate, this red wine convinces with its juicy and concentrated character. Here, too, there is an excellent variety of aromas - raspberry, bitter cherry, fine hints of spice cake accompanied by a hint of blood orange. The silky tannins are very well integrated into the strong body and lead to an impressive, elegant and pleasantly long finish.
Vinification of the Vinos del Atlántico AtlántidaThe
Tintilla de Rota grapes for this red wine originate from the single location Pago Balbaína. The 26-year-old vines grow on Albariza soils also known as white soil rich in limestone, clay and sand.
After careful harvesting and selection of the grapes, they are gently pressed in the wine cellar. The resulting mash is then fermented in wooden steel tanks in a temperature-controlled manner. The impressive variety of aromas is ensured by the wood ageing for 16 months in French oak barriques.
Food recommendation for the Atlántida Tintilla Compañía de Vinos del Atlántico
This dry red wine from Spain is a wonderful accompaniment to cozy barbecues with the family and friends. But this wine also goes well with spicy stews and matured cheese.
