In the glass, the Arzheimer Kalmit Kapellenstück Riesling from the house of Katrin Wind reveals a bright light yellow color. Swiveling the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it stands out on the glass walls neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. Poured into a white wine glass, this Old World white wine presents delightfully youthful aromas of green apple and lemon, rounded out by other fruity nuances.
This German wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 3.9 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the top wine range, this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. Balanced and complex, this crisp and dense white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Arzheimer Kalmit Kapellenstück Riesling reveals itself to be fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful wine from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate finally inspires with good length. Again, hints of green apple and lemon appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and limestone join in.
Vinification of the Katrin Wind Arzheimer Kalmit Kapellenstück Riesling
This balanced white wine from Germany is made from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate region. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and marl. Arzheimer Kalmit Kapellenstück Riesling is an Old World wine through and through, as this German wine breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. When perfect physiological ripeness is assured, the grapes for Arzheimer Kalmit Kapellenstück Riesling are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of punishing and less selective full harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
