The winery Andreas Laible writes its history already since 1672 and is today one of the best wineries in Germany.
Andreas Laible - top winery from Durbach
Thanks to an"enormous creative power and continuity at a high level" praised by the wine guide Gault Millau, the winery has made it to the top in Baden-Württemberg. The recipe of the contrasting father-son winemaking team consists of trust in the long tradition paired with innovative approaches and the common pursuit of the highest quality.
Multiple award-winning wines at Andreas Laible
The Andreas Laible winery is a member of the VDP (Verband der deutschen Prädikatsweingüter - Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates) and produces complex character wines in which you can taste the passion and determination to always get the best out of the wine. AndreasJunior, like his father, is very concerned about tradition, but is also open to new things and brings innovative ideas. Andreas Laible is probably the most awarded winery in Baden-Württemberg and receives top ratings from the well-known wine critics:
4 grapes from Gault Millau
4.5 stars from Eichelmann
Top 100 wine producers by Bundesweinprämierung
4 stars from Vinum
Chardonnay Trophy from falstaff
in addition to federal and state honorary awards as well as runner-up at AWC Vienna.
Viticulture par excellence at Andreas Laible
Some of the vines of the highly acclaimed winery are more than 50 years old. To ensure that they will continue to supply the valuable grapes for the finesse-rich wines for a long time to come, they receive careful, respectful handling from the winemaking family. Also the soils experience his very careful treatment. And this can sometimes lead to a lot of manual work in the rocky steep slopes. And so the grapes are also selectively harvested by hand before they are gently processed in the cellar. Andreas Laible and his team take care to preserve the aromas from the vineyard in the wine. Therefore, the grapes are fermented exclusively in stainless steel tanks with natural yeasts.

The winery cultivates an outstanding site. On the"Durbacher Plauelrain", for example, vines thrive on granite weathered soils in various Gewannen, well protected by a forest fringe that keeps out the cold north wind. The Rieslings of the winery are mineral-herbal-spicy or also gripping with juicy fruit. In any case, they spoil the palate in the finest way. In any case, the melty-nutty Pinot Gris, slightly reminiscent of tobacco, as well as the concentrated Chardonnay with pure fruit and the powerful Traminer Auslese with lychee notes should be mentioned.
