The barrel-aged Ampio delle Mortelle Toscana from the wine-growing region of Tuscany is a dense purple-red in the glass. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the powerful Ampio delle Mortelle Toscana is aged for 30 months in French oak barriques. The ageing in wooden barrels is followed by a long bottle ageing period, which makes this red wine even more complex.
