Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of volcanic rock. When the perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Achkarrer Schlossberg Spätburgunder Spätlese are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of coarse and less selective full harvesters.
